Also called the multi-color injection molding process, it refers to the injection molding of two or more colors of materials or different materials through a mold with one or more runners. The earliest is represented by two-color injection molding, and our daily contact is mostly with two-color products, such as the toothbrush we use every morning and evening, the handle, which is made of two-color injection molding, the handle part of the more commonly used material is PP (hard rubber) plus TPE (soft rubber), TPE is the best material to blend with PP cover rubber, covered with soft rubber is to improve the grip.

The working principle of two-color mold
Two-color molds usually have two pairs of molds, one half is mounted on the fixed mold fixing plate of the two-color molding machine, which is the side with the injection gate, and the other half is mounted on the moving mold rotation plate, which is the side with the ejector of the mold. The back mold of these two molds is usually identical, while the front mold is not. When the first material is injected in the first mold, the fixed and dynamic molds of the injection molding machine are opened, and the rotary plate of the dynamic mold rotates 180 degree with the back mold part of the two molds, at this time, the semi-finished products of the back mold of the first mold are not ejected, and then the mold is closed for injection of the second material (during this process, the first material continues to be injected into semi-finished products in the second mold), and after the heat preservation and cooling, the fixed and dynamic molds are opened, and the dynamic mold of the first mold The finished product of the back mold is ejected. This is a process of molding cycle, and one semi-product and one finished product will be produced in each molding cycle.
